| Question: I don't see a picture on my monitor, what could be wrong? Answer: Is the monitor power light lit? If not the monitor may need checked. No picture most of the time means a problem with either the monitor or the video card. Any easy way to check would be to connect a known working monitor and see if it works. If it does, then your monitor is bad. If it doesn't work, then it could be that your video card needs replaced. Sometimes reseating (pulling out and putting back in) the video card does the trick. If your monitor powers up and has no picture and your PC doesnt seem to be booting, it could be that your modem has become faulty. Remove the modem to test whether it boots, if so the modem needs replaced. Question: Why doesn't my PC power up? Answer: There are quite a few reason why this may happen. If you push the power button and your PC doesn't power up, then you may need to replace the power supply. No power light usually means faulty power supply. Another reason may be that your modem has become faulty and is keeping it from powering up. Remove the modem and see if it powers up. Below are the most common causes of PC's not powering up.
